Belly Dance with Zahra.
This 6 week set of classes is perfect for beginners or those who want a review. Each week we will do a warm up, learn basic steps and turns, and do a cool down and a short guided meditation. By the end of the session you will have also learned to combine steps and turns as well as a short routine. And you might even learn a new way to remember your alphabet!
Who can take this class? EVERYONE! It doesn’t make a difference how old you are or what size you are (Zahra was hired professionally because she wasn’t young and skinny). Can men take belly dance? Absolutely! Ladies love to watch male belly dancers!
What to wear: come comfortably dressed in something in which you can move or leotard and tights. You can wear tennis shoes or just socks. Bring something you can tie around your hips. We will discuss this more during the first class.
Belly dancing is done with natural body movements and the exercise it provides is wonderful. You will find this class personally transformative. Yes, YOU CAN DO IT and YOU WILL HAVE FUN!
